And............full

That didn't take long.
Notice the conspicuous lack of totes.

Today I'm working on the shop.  Really!

And the weather is still perfect.

Now on to the shop

It took a whole day to make two saw horses.  Then three more to put up these four shelves.  Most of the time is spent looking for tools.  These are in the double car side; the single car side (shop) is on the other side of this wall.

The top three will each hold 6 totes (of the type seen at the far end).  That would be less than half of the Christmas collection.

Now it is time to start on the shop.

Weather remains perfect.

Day of Classic cars and Alpacas

As promised yesterday, took today off.

Another perfect day and there was a benefit for the Redmond Humane Society at the Crescent Moon Alpaca farm.  What a place.  Hundreds of Alpacas.
This boy was quite proud of himself.  Most would be with that coat.
First they put them on the rack.  Apparently, alpacas are not all that willing to sit for a haircut.
Then they get a pedicure
and they take a sample
then the whole coat comes off pretty much intact
Finally, they end up looking like big poodles.  These were "pet quality" gelded males for sale in pairs for $500.  Cheaper than most dogs and you won't need a lawn mower anymore.

After lunch (tri tip, not alpaca), on to the cars.
Pretty fancy tow car
but the blown trailer was my favorite.

On the way home we stopped to admire the homes overlooking the Deschutes.  Actually, we were admiring the Deschutes the most.
Yet another perfect day of weather.

Garage shelving tomorrow, probably no pictures.

Landscaping Done

For a relatively new house with a concrete back yard we seem to have done a lot of gardening.  That seems to be the spring sport around here, lots of nurseries and color.  We replaced a few things but won't see the fruits until next year.

Put a bit of color around.  Plus I got three roses to fuss over.

Got a Weeping Pussy Willow for the front (replaced the 3 Dwarfed Spruce) and replaced all the bark.

Filled some pots in the back yard too.

And of course, there will be tomatoes and rhubarb.

Tomorrow it's off to the Alpaca Festival and classic car show with Emil and Sara.

Weather is still perfect!

Changing Viewpoints

Still unpacking.  I'm afraid I'll be able to open with that for quite a while yet.

I love the view from our back windows/yard.  The canyon wall is quite dramatic and always changing.  The water treatment plant is on the canyon floor but does not seem to bother us or anyone that I have talked to on the street.  We already know more neighbors than we did in 19 years on Lupine Ave.

The view never seems quite the same.

Quick trip to Portland for follow up appointment and kidney stone analysis.

Looks like Amy and family will be moving to Denver.  If that had happened 6 months ago.....?  Who knows?

Weather still perfect here.

Gotta run.
