So, after an all too brief summer, we prepare to do whatever it is we are doing in retirement. For now the plans call for beginning in Portland at the end of this month and getting to Tallahassee by November. Just what we do in between depends on when we get back on the road and the weather. We’d like to take the most northerly route possible, but we’ll see.
I will say that once the DeJean whirlwind left it got almost normal around here.
One thing I just realized is that my internal clock feels like it got wound so tight the spring broke. Seems like without winter my routines are all messed up. I hope this doesn’t mean that I can’t leave Alaska. I think not; I think I just need some time with nothing on the schedule.
So for the next two weeks my only goal is to wrap this up and get to Portland. Frank has agreed to watch the place again, so we don’t have to worry about the homestead.
So stay cool; we’ll talk later.
Go Timbers!
